Turning 24 m² Into a Live Technology Demonstration Environment

 

For Hayden AI, Intertraffic Amsterdam was an opportunity to present an artificial-intelligence platform whose value is best understood by seeing the technology operating in a real traffic environment. Hayden AI develops mobile vision AI technology for cities and public-transport systems. Its platform combines vehicle-mounted camera technology, computer vision, machine learning, edge processing and a data portal to identify and document traffic and parking violations while vehicles are moving.

The company's solutions include automated enforcement for bus lanes, bus stops, bike lanes, double parking and tram-blocking situations. This meant that the exhibition stand could not function as a conventional corporate booth containing only a logo, counter and printed graphics.

The resulting design placed Hayden AI's technology at the center of the architecture rather than treating AV as an accessory.

 

 

The Design Concept - A Blue Architectural Frame Around the Technology

The 3D concept establishes one immediately recognizable architectural element: a large Hayden-blue frame wrapping around the front and side of the booth. Instead of using blue only as a graphic treatment, Activteam turned the company's corporate colour into the stand's principal structural identity. 

The blue structure begins at floor level, rises vertically on both sides and continues across the upper perimeter as a broad architectural canopy. Rounded front corners soften what could otherwise have been a rigid rectangular structure and introduce a more technology-oriented, contemporary appearance.

The black inner environment creates the opposite visual effect. Against the bright blue perimeter, the deep black interior makes screens, logos, white typography and digital imagery more prominent. The stand therefore uses a deliberately limited palette: Hayden blue + black + natural wood + white communication graphics. This visual discipline gives the 24 m² space a clear and recognizable identity without requiring excessive decoration.

Long-Distance Visibility - The Elevated Cylindrical Hayden AI Sign

One of the strongest features visible in both the 3D design and the completed stand is the high-level cylindrical branding element. A blue circular tower carrying the Hayden AI symbol rises significantly above the main stand architecture. Its role is different from the graphics at eye level.

The vertical logos on the stand perimeter identify the company when visitors are close to the booth. The elevated cylindrical sign identifies Hayden AI from much farther across the exhibition hall. The realized photographs show that this feature was constructed according to the original design concept, including its cylindrical form, blue finish, black-and-white branding and slim central support.

For a 24 m² stand, this creates a particularly efficient visibility strategy: instead of increasing the physical footprint, the design uses vertical brand recognition.

 

Two Levels of Branding

Level 1 - High-Level Recognition The cylindrical tower establishes the logo above the surrounding booth architecture.

Level 2 - Aisle-Level Recognition Large vertical HaydenAI graphics are positioned on both blue side walls.

Visitors approaching from either principal direction therefore encounter the company name before entering the stand. Inside, the Hayden AI logo and the statement SMART TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PLATFORM POWERED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE are placed directly against the dark central presentation wall.

This gives the stand an important communication sequence: Who is the company?  What does it do?  How does the technology work? For an emerging technology brand at a specialist traffic exhibition, that hierarchy is considerably more useful than repeating the same logo across every available surface.

 


The Stand as a Technology Demonstration Platform

The most important functional characteristic visible in the realized stand is the concentration of digital information on the main presentation wall. Multiple screens display urban traffic environments and software interfaces. These images are particularly appropriate to Hayden AI's technology because the company's system uses AI-powered cameras and computer vision to analyze traffic environments while public-transport vehicles move through a city. Its edge-processing system identifies potential violations locally, while authorized agencies can review relevant information through a data portal.

The stand architecture effectively creates a physical window into that digital process. Rather than trying to explain computer vision through long blocks of printed text, visitors can see streets, vehicles, software and traffic analysis directly on the screens. This is a good match between exhibition architecture and product type. The exhibition stand is therefore not simply displaying Hayden AI branding. It is demonstrating what Hayden AI sees.

A Multi-Screen Technical Communication Wall

The left presentation zone contains several digital screens integrated into a dark graphical surface.

• street and traffic environments;

• camera-generated visual information;

• software interfaces;

• enforcement scenarios;

• and technical explanations.

A separate vertically oriented screen provides another format for digital information. This creates multiple communication points without consuming floor area with independent demonstration counters. For a 24 m² stand, that is particularly important. The design uses the walls for information while keeping the center open enough for visitors and discussions.

Hayden AI's Technology Reflected in the Exhibition Concept Hayden AI describes its platform around three principal technology components:

1. AI-powered camera technology

2. Edge processing

3. A data portal

The camera uses computer vision and machine learning to locate vehicles and identify potential violations. Edge processing allows relevant information to be analyzed while the transit vehicle is moving, and the data portal allows authorized agencies to review potential violations and manage traffic rules.

The company's broader solutions apply this technology to bus-lane enforcement, bus-stop enforcement, bike-lane enforcement, double parking and tram-blocking situations. The exhibition design supports this technical story by providing a strong digital presentation environment rather than relying on physical product displays. The dark background improves contrast. The presentation counter allows representatives to explain software and applications directly to visitors. The architecture therefore converts a complex artificial-intelligence platform into a more immediate exhibition experience.

 

The Central Presentation and Discussion Area

 

A custom light-wood presentation counter sits toward the rear of the stand. Its curved rectangular form introduces a warmer material into the otherwise blue-and-black environment.

This is important architecturally.

A booth devoted entirely to AI, cameras and digital traffic systems could easily become visually cold.

he natural wood provides contrast while also creating a clear human interaction point.

The position of the counter keeps discussions inside the booth while maintaining visual contact with the main exhibition aisle. This is one of the more effective details in the design. Instead of constructing a solid wall, Activteam used evenly spaced timber elements. The slats establish a visual division between the main presentation zone and the side area without creating a fully enclosed room.

This is a useful solution for a smaller technology stand where every square meter must remain visually accessible.

 

Open Architecture and Visitor Flow

The front of the stand is almost completely open. Visitors approaching from the aisle are not confronted by a conventional reception desk or a wall.

Instead, they can see directly into the technology presentation environment.

The blue perimeter architecture acts almost like a frame around a large digital display window. This openness is particularly appropriate for a company presenting unfamiliar technology. The objective is to reduce the psychological barrier between passing visitor and demonstration. Visitors can see screens and traffic imagery before deciding to enter. The product therefore performs part of the attraction function itself.

Purposeful Use of the Floor

The floor treatment continues the architecture rather than operating as a separate decorative surface. Blue perimeter areas visually connect with the vertical blue walls, producing the impression that the structural frame continues around the floor.

The darker central flooring distinguishes the internal presentation environment. Rounded corners in the flooring repeat the radius of the architectural frame. This repetition creates visual continuity between floor -> walls -> canopy -> branding tower.

The stand therefore reads as one integrated object rather than a collection of unrelated exhibition components. Lighting Integrated Into the Architecture The realized photographs show recessed circular lighting installed directly into the blue overhead structure. Additional downlights illuminate the darker interior. The lighting has a clear functional role. The bright perimeter reinforces the architectural frame, while the internal spots provide usable illumination for the demonstration and meeting environment. Importantly, the lighting equipment itself does not visually dominate the stand.

It is integrated into the canopy so that the visitor sees the illuminated architecture rather than visible lighting fixtures. This follows Activteam's stated approach of combining architecture, lighting, branding, multimedia and furniture as one exhibition environment rather than treating them as independent elements. Activteam's Design Method Applied to Hayden AI Activteam's published exhibition design process begins by establishing the exhibitor's objectives, audience, branding and operational requirements. A customized concept is then developed through 3D visualization before materials, architecture, graphics and technical elements are finalized for production. Activteam describes subsequent stages covering manufacturing, project coordination, logistics, installation and dismantling. The Hayden AI project illustrates how this approach can translate a company's digital identity into physical architecture. The blue corporate colour became the structural frame rather than remaining a printed graphic. The Hayden AI logo was placed at multiple viewing heights to address both long-distance and near-aisle visibility. The dark interior created a controlled background for high-contrast digital media.*

Screens were positioned as principal communication tools because Hayden AI's service is fundamentally visual and data-driven. Natural wood was introduced selectively through the presentation counter and vertical slats, balancing the technology aesthetic with a more welcoming human environment. The open frontage encouraged visitor access, while the internal arrangement created identifiable zones for demonstration and discussion.

In this way, colour, architecture, AV, lighting, messaging and furniture were developed as parts of the same communication system - an approach consistent with Activteam's emphasis on coherent brand identity, functional visitor flow and multimedia integration.

Custom Construction

 

The photographs show that several principal elements required bespoke production rather than standard shell-scheme construction.

Activteam states that its custom production can combine materials such as MDF, wood, metal, acrylic and glass and that bespoke stands are developed from approved 3D concepts before manufacturing and installation. For Hayden AI, custom construction was particularly important because the booth's identity depends on shape. Removing the rounded frame, elevated cylinder or integrated multimedia zones would fundamentally change the design.

From 3D Concept to Finished Stand The supplied design visualization and realization photographs provide particularly strong evidence of design execution.

The finished construction reproduces the principal components shown in the approved concept:

The proportions and visual hierarchy are also closely maintained. This design-to-reality comparison is important because an exhibition rendering has value only when the contractor can translate it into a physical stand within the technical restrictions of an exhibition hall. Here, the concept and the finished construction are visibly recognizable as the same project.

The Finished Result The completed 24 m² Hayden AI stand operates as a compact technology presentation environment with three clear communication levels.

1. Long-distance recognition The elevated cylindrical sign provides identification above the surrounding exhibition stands.

2. Immediate brand recognition The blue architecture and two vertical HaydenAI logos identify the company from the neighboring aisles.

3. Technology engagement Once closer to the booth, visitors encounter several digital displays, traffic imagery, the company's AI message and a presentation counter for direct discussion. The physical environment therefore supports the sequence most relevant to Hayden AI's exhibition objective: See the brand -> understand the technology -> watch the application -> speak with the company.

Photo Evidence - What the Realization Shows 3D Design View The original visualization defines the main concept before construction: an open-front 24 m² booth framed by Hayden blue architecture, with a high cylindrical brand marker, dark technology presentation walls, digital content, timber details and an internal presentation counter.

Finished Front View The realized stand reproduces the same open architectural frame with the HaydenAI identity positioned vertically on both sides. Recessed lighting is incorporated into the blue upper structure, while the elevated cylindrical sign gives the stand visibility above aisle level.

Finished Left Perspective From the left side, the multimedia strategy is particularly clear. Several screens display urban traffic environments and software information, giving visitors immediate visual evidence of the company's field of activity. 

Finished Right Perspective The right view shows the timber-slat feature, integrated monitor and light-wood presentation counter. These elements provide functional separation without visually closing the interior. Design-to-Reality Comparison Viewed side by side, the concept rendering and construction photographs demonstrate close correspondence between the approved architecture and its physical realization - from the overall form and colour scheme to the signage, display positions, lighting and interior details.

 

Result - The 24 m² Hayden AI stand combined long-distance visibility, immediate brand recognition, integrated digital demonstrations and direct customer discussion in a compact footprint. The elevated cylindrical sign extended the brand above aisle level, the blue frame created a recognizable corporate identity, and the multi-screen interior made the company's AI traffic-enforcement technology visible from the open front.

Most importantly, the finished construction closely followed the approved 3D concept. The principal architectural shapes, colours, branding positions, AV zones, timber features, lighting and presentation counter were all carried through into the realized stand, providing clear design-to-reality evidence for the project.
